WINSTON-SALEM, NC — The Budd Group, a North Carolina-based facilities services company, is proud to celebrate 60 years of growth in services, geographic scope, and capabilities. In 1963 Richard Budd bought a struggling janitorial supply company in Winston-Salem and worked hard to grow the business and deliver quality products and services to customers. When clients asked if he could provide janitorial services in addition to cleaning supplies, he hired additional staff, purchased equipment, and worked side-by-side with the cleaning teams to exceed customer expectations. When customers asked if he could maintain their grounds, Richard implemented

the steps necessary to add landscaping to the company’s services. Other services followed, and today The Budd Group employs over 5,000 associates in 13 states.

Today The Budd Group provides facility solutions for colleges, universities, athletic venues, school districts, hospitals, corporate offices, manufacturing facilities, and homeowner associations. Although each client is unique and services are customized for each facility, The Budd Group team maintains a single-minded focus on the founder’s philosophy.
