Painting and Drywall

Painting and Drywall

Paint doesn’t just enhance the appearance of a facility’s features and equipment; a proper paint job also protects a property’s assets and infrastructure, including its very walls. Painted drywall is commonplace in most commercial and residential facilities, and it’s highly susceptible to damage. In some cases, when drywall gets damaged, water, pests, and other contaminants can enter and cause harm. At the very least, damaged paint and/or drywall is an eyesore, bad for a business’s morale and reputation. Either way, every building maintenance strategy should include measures for maintaining its paint and drywall.

The Budd Group’s painting and drywall maintenance services are available for all types of facilities across all industries.

How We Maintain Paint Jobs

While paint protects an underlying surface, there’s nothing protecting it from getting dirty, scuffed, or damaged. Proper maintenance practices help keep a paint job durable and beautiful for as long as possible. Some of these practices include:

  • Regular scrubbing of interior painted surfaces with cloth/sponge and soapy water to remove dust and dirt
  • Pressure washing exterior painted surfaces using proper detergents and power levels to eliminate dirt, debris, mold, and mildew
  • Touching up painted surfaces that have faded or experienced scuffing, marking, peeling, etc.
  • Regulating internal temperature and humidity levels to prevent paint from bubbling, peeling, cracking, etc.

These practices apply to all types of paint and painted surfaces, including specialty coatings like epoxy, latex, alkyd, polyurethane, etc.

Drywall Maintenance and Repair

Taking care of a facility’s interior paint job via the methods mentioned above helps keep its drywall well-protected. Still, drywall can undergo damage from moisture intrusion, impact, thermal shock, and more. Our team performs preventative maintenance measures to help facilities avoid major drywall repairs, including tasks such as maintaining pipes/plumbing systems to prevent water from leaking into drywall and regulating internal temperature and humidity levels to prevent drywall from warping, fracturing, etc.

If drywall does get damaged in some way, we also provide drywall repair services. Our team will remove and/or touch up minor marks and scuffs, fill in small dents and dings, patch holes of all sizes, reinforce the backing and replace entire sections of drywall when necessary.

The Budd Group Difference

We understand that different types of facilities require different types and levels of maintenance. For instance, proper condominium maintenance is not identical to maintaining a healthcare facility or athletic center. Still, painting and drywall maintenance is essential for each of these facilities, even if they necessitate unique approaches. This is why The Budd Group doesn’t deliver one-size-fits-all maintenance or janitorial solutions. We provide custom maintenance services for each and every one of our clients based on their needs and goals.
