The Budd Group had its beginnings in 1963 when Richard Budd purchased a struggling janitorial supplies company. Under Budd’s guidance and leadership, the company was able to successfully eliminate its debt in four years and began a pattern of steady, customer-focused growth that continues today. In the 1970's, The Budd Group steadily expanded and diversified into carefully chosen markets, adding janitorial, security, and landscaping services to our lines of business.
Until the late 1980’s, nearly all of the company's revenue came from clients within the Piedmont and Triad areas of North Carolina, but The Budd Group made a pivotal turn in 1988 by broadening and diversifying its operations into other southeastern states. The Budd Group continues to maintain its headquarters in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where the company was founded, and today we employ more than 3,300 people throughout the Southeast who are dedicated to enhancing the beauty, security, and cleanliness of our customers’ facilities.
