The Budd Group had its beginnings in 1963 when Richard Budd purchased a struggling janitorial supplies company. Under Budd’s guidance and leadership, the company was able to successfully eliminate its debt in four years and began a pattern of steady, customer-focused growth that continues today. In the 1970s, The Budd Group steadily expanded and diversified into carefully chosen markets, adding janitorial, security, and landscaping services to our lines of business.
Until the late 1980s, nearly all of the company's revenue came from clients within the Piedmont and Triad areas of North Carolina, but The Budd Group made a pivotal turn in 1988 by broadening and diversifying its operations across the Southeast.
Today, The Budd Group continues to maintain its headquarters in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where the company was founded, and has established regional offices in nine additional southeastern cities. We employ more than 4,500 people who are dedicated to enhancing the beauty, security, and cleanliness of our customers’ facilities.
